Leek Planting Tips

• Like all alliums, leeks need well drained soil and full sun.
• To get the leek to grow a tall, white stalk, progressively pile up additional soil around the leek stalk. This will keep it from turning green.
• You can eat the green and white parts of the leek.
• Leeks are easier to grow than onions, since they don’t have a bulb to worry about.
