Quinoa Planting Tips

• Provide full sun.
• Water frequently while establishing keeping soil moist, but not water-logged. Once plants are established, water occasionally when the first few inches of soil are dry.
• Weed to prevent crowding, as weeds will choke back Quinoa growth.
• Remove lamb’s quarter, as it can cross pollenate with quinoa and reduce productivity.
• Harvest when the leaves have fallen and seeds are all that remains on the stalk. Can survive a few light frosts in this state.
