The Community Garden serves our city with an abundance of seeds, workshops, mentorship, and community events to give growers opportunities to cultivate their own produce, support local food systems, and build a network of friends and collaborators.
YOUR CONTRIBUTION
- Annual Fee: $135 / row
- Suggested Weekly Commitment: 4 – 9 hrs / week
- Volunteer Contribution: 15 hrs / season

INDIGENOUS URBAN GROWER - COMMUNITY GARDEN SCHOLARSHIP

Rio Grande Community Farm’s Indigenous Urban Growers Scholarships are awarded to Native American growers in-need who are living in urban Albuquerque, New Mexico and are seeking farmland for growing in a sustainable and pesticide-free manner in a diverse community environment.
This scholarship is made possible by donations from our Rio Grande Community Farm Member Diane Marshall.
Eligibility:
Native Americans living within urban Albuquerque, New Mexico who can invest four to nine hours per week on their garden row, are willing to use sustainable (ie: traditional, regenerative, organic, biodynamic, permaculture) growing methods, and can contribute 15 hours per season in volunteer activities for the Farm.
